Company History

The STENHØJ brand was founded in 1917 and is one of Europe’s longest-established manufacturers of surface-mounted lifts.
Since 1949, autop has been developing hydraulic inground lifts for professional workshop use.
In 1996, autop became part of the STENHØJ Group.
In 2016, the autop and STENHØJ brands were merged under the joint brand name AUTOPSTENHOJ. The company is based in Rheine, Westphalia, in north-western Germany.
Since March 2019, AUTOPSTENHOJ has been part of the Italian Nexion Group.
