Successful participation in the "Work 2020 in NRW" project

AUTOPSTENHOJ signs future agreement for digital change

AUTOPSTENHOJ GmbH is a medium-sized company with 110 employees in Rheine, Westphalia, and is one of the few craftsmen's businesses participating in the "Work 2020 in NRW" project. Last week a corresponding agreement on the future was signed by the management and the works council.

AUTOPSTENHOJ already started active work on the "Work 2020" project in 2018 - supported by the European Union and the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs in NRW. Supported by the IG Metall trade union and the TBS NRW (Technologieberatungsstelle NRW), the works council and management of AUTOPSTENHOJ GmbH have developed a kind of roadmap to drive forward future digitalisation processes.

In the course of various workshops and interviews the company map "Work and Industry 4.0" was created, which shows the status within the individual departments as well as the need for the future, all under the aspect of Digitisation and Industry 4.0.

In many areas, digitalisation has already been introduced at AUTOPSTENHOJ. For example, it is completely normal to hold cross-national Skype conferences, more and more paperless work is being done in the offices, AUTOPSTENHOJ lifts are now delivered with an NFC chip, in marketing, VR glasses are actively used and much more.

At the end of the project "Work 2020 in NRW", a future agreement was signed at a small ceremony in which the works council, management and trade union committed themselves to focusing on four topics in particular:

  • Qualification and further training
  • Improving communication and information
  • Improvement of health protection
  • Optimization of running processes

The Work 2020 project can be integrated perfectly into the existing corporate strategy of AUTOPSTENHOJ GmbH. Here too, the works council and management cooperate to achieve maximum synergies.
